The housing and statistics table is the best way to define a homeless and/or rough sleeping population. This table captures the housing status of the Client at the time of them interacting with Auckland City Mission – the status is valid as at the entered_date, but does not necessarily indicate a longer term trend. The table is overwritten, but not necessarily with every visit a Client makes (if housing status doesn’t change it won’t be updated. This differs from other tables where they collect all of the information every time e.g. the expenses table). The entered_date will reflect the most recent visit made by the Client where housing information was captured. The entered_date on the Client table can be used to inform when the Client last interacted with the Mission.
