Tenancy (IDI) population

Target population: all individuals entered in a tenancy that have lodged a bond, and their associated landlords. Observed population: individuals that have lodged a bond for a tenancy. Some populations are under-represented; for example, tenancies with a fixed term of less than six months, and individuals that have a family member as a landlord. This dataset is estimated to cover around 85 percent of all tenancies. This dataset includes individuals in state housing, and also includes rentals owned by local governments and government entities. Analysis unit: the dataset includes one record for each tenant per bond. This means multiple records can be attached to a single bond.
