Description

holds details pertaining to CYF abuse findings events (CYF_ABUSE_EVENT). An abuse finding event records the assessment that a social worker makes about whether or not a client has suffered abuse. This is a point-in-time event and so the cyf_abe_event_from_datetime and cyf_abe_event_to_datetime will be the same. This is the ‘assessment date’ of the related assessment. Historically, this date is entered by the social worker on the narrative held on the assessment record, but now it is the ‘date created’ in the same phase. There is one event for every combination of client, perpetrator, and abuse type. There will often be multiple abuse findings event records for a client because there may be multiple notifications for a client, each requiring an investigation. The same client may have more than one type of abuse within the same period (eg physically and sexually abused). Similarly, a client may have the same type of abuse more than once for the same notification, as a result of more than one perpetrator subjecting the client to the same abuse. For example, a child is neglected by both parents. Findings are recorded as past involvement types in PSTINVTP_CODE.
