In tables 5 and 6, we combine industry groups to form the following broad groupings, based on the ANZSIC06 (Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification 2006):

• primary industries (agriculture; forestry and fishing; mining)

• goods-producing industries (manufacturing; electricity, gas, water, and waste services; construction)

• other services industries (wholesale trade; retail trade; accommodation and food services; transport, postal and warehousing; information media and telecommunications; financial and insurance services; public administration and safety; education and training).

The following industries are also included in tables 5 and 6:

• Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services

• Professional, Scientific and Technical Services

• Administrative and Support Services

• Health Care and Social Assistance

• Arts and Recreation Services

In Tatauranga Umanga Māori quarterly, industries are organised into the above groups for confidentiality reasons or left ungrouped to ensure key information is included about particular industries where Māori authorities are operating.

In the release content, we also group together data for Services industries. This group contains:

• Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services

• Professional, Scientific, Technical, Administrative and Support Services

• Health Care and Social Assistance

• Arts, Recreation and Other Services

• Other services industries
