Description

Children who are (a) New Zealand Citizens, (b) New Zealand permanent residents, (c) Australian citizens, or (d) otherwise classified as a domestic student must be enrolled and attend school from their 6th until their 16th birthday. However, before a child's 7th birthday, the child is not required to be enrolled at any school more than 3 kilometres walking distance from the child's residence. Children that are home schooled, are considered to be enrolled at school.
