en-NZclean_read_COR
en-NZThe Department of Corrections’ (COR) Sentencing and Remand data documents the content of the Offender Aliases, Offender Programme Completions, Offenders, Major Management Periods, Major Periods, and Periods tables that the COR provides to Stats NZ to use in the Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI). The COR datasets contain administrative data collected from 1998 to 2016 for convicted adult offenders who have received a community sentence or imprisonment, and people remanded until their trial is completed (Offender Aliases, Offenders) and the management of convicted adult offenders (Offender Programme Completions, Major Management Periods, Major Periods, Periods). Information about legal warrants, sentences, and releases included in the COR data are additionally sourced from the Courts, Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and Police. This data provides a chronological sequence of events and periods that provide our best understanding of how each offender is being managed by the Department of Corrections and what events have occurred that relate to each managed period.
