Description
The number of children born is the number of children ever born to each female aged 15 years and over, who usually live in New Zealand. Foetal deaths are excluded, as are stepchildren, adopted children, foster children, and wards of the state. In a change from previous censuses, the 2018 Census question did not explicitly exclude stillborn children.
For classification see Aria.
