IDI Household Economic Survey data (HES)

The Household Economic Survey (HES) data documents the content of the Address, Expenditure, Household, Income, NMI, Person, and Relationship tables that Stats NZ provides to Stats NZ to use in the Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI). The HES datasets contain survey data collected during the 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2009/2010, 2010/2011, 2011/2012, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, and 2014/2015 HES Surveys for the income, expenditure, and net worth patterns of private household throughout New Zealand.

This dictionary provides information on the variables contained in the datasets including technical information and descriptions. The dictionary also provides encyclopaedic information on concepts, policies, and other high-level information relevant to this dataset. Use this data dictionary if you are interested in understanding and accessing HES data in the IDI for your research.
