Description
The respondents from the original sample -- In a randomised design, the selected sample is what we are interested in getting an estimate from. If there is non-response (which there generally is) then 2 problems arise 1. any difference between respondents and non-respondents can lead to bias.
- the sample size is smaller and thus the sampling error is greater.
